SGASi has fourteen stock sets available to add a unique touch to your next event. Combined with one another, the possibilities are literally endless. We present to you some compelling reasons for utilizing a set rental for your next event:

Limited budget
Like everyone else’s budget this year, yours has been halved. Custom scenic work is expensive, and usually billed at time + materials. Reduce the cost of your next event by renting a stock set for the duration of your event, and only pay for the time you use.

It’s better for the environment
Why be responsible for creating something once that will be used once, and disposed of? Many sets are used once and discarded into a landfill as they can’t be used for much else. Choose a greener alternative.

One Time Event
If you’ve never done your event before, a great way to decide if you like a look or concept is to try it once as a rental. If your needs require the set piece for a long-term situation, we’d be happy to make one for you that’s yours.

Multiple Cities
Having an event in multiple cities can strain even the best-manufactured set pieces. Our sets were built with the explicit need for multiple uses, multiple installs, and ease of transportation. In addition, we have multiple copies of sets so that if you have concurrent events, they can have the same look.

Concept Test
Have a concept that you’d like to try, but not sure how it will go over? Consider renting the set once, then deciding if it’s right for you.

Your feedback
We’d love to hear your reasons too – please comment and post, your feedback is invaluable! Post here or email info@SGASi.com or better yet, tweet it @SGASi on twitter.

Kathleen Petersen and Sara Link attended the National Assocation of Catering Executive’s Taste of NACE: Orlando last week, and snapped a few shots for us.

Kathleen writes, “SGASi donated 210 running feet of 22′ tall white chiffon, which was in all the entrances and placed in various areas throughout the main ballroom. Since wthis was a Susan G. Komen fundraiser for breast cancer awareness, pink lighting surrounded the room and reflected on our drapery just beautifully.”

Thanks to Kathleen for the photos, please be sure to check out the miniature podium with “Staging Sara” Barbie doll. These women are awesome!

About one minute after hitting send on the email announcement yesterday, phones started ringing off the hooks across our offices. The outpouring of support was outstanding, and plans to actually get stuff done were quickly pushed off by the need to talk to clients and friends from across the industry.

Keith Menne in our Lansing office had a long-time friend call from a job site in Dallas. “Why didn’t you do this sooner!” was all he could say.

I just got off the phone with Colin Murphy, General Manager of our new Scenic Division, who was swamped twice as separate email blasts went out. His only regret? Not being able to talk to the people who were calling in, as he was on the phone. Looking forward to seeing “SGASi” in a new sign he’s designing & building for InfoComm next week in Orlando.

Seriously, thanks to everyone for the support, we look forward to getting to business immediately, but sometimes it’s nice to pause and know you were part of something bigger.

For all the employees who answer our incoming calls, (Angi, Amanda, and today Kathleen!) a five-star rating is deserved for your support and enthusiasm. Hearing (and trying to remember to say) “SGASi” after 13 years here is excitingly different.

I’ve been promised photos soon, will post to the site when I receive them.
