The Challenge:
Transform a football field into an ice hockey arena
The Solution:
SGA Installs Seating and Under-Ice Decking
SGA is completing the installation of over 2,000 infield seats and nearly 30,000ft2 of stage decks for the upcoming NCAA Men’s Hockey game featuring the University of Wisconsin Badgers vs. the Ohio State Buckeyes at Lambeau Field at 3PM on February 11, 2006.
We’re very excited to be a part of this project, and would like to thank everyone at the Green Bay Packers organization, especially Steve Klegon and Ted Eisenreich, for the opportunity to be involved. They have gone to some great lengths to put out some good information about the job:
This is the second time that SGA has helped place an ice rink on a football field. The first time was for the World-Record-Setting “Cold War” with Michigan State University and University of Michigan.
SGA specializes in venue transformation. We help build ice rinks on football fields, basketball courts on the 50-yard line, ice rinks in fountains, convert historic theaters into dinner venues, and transform empty convention center space into intimate environments for corporate theater.
