SGA Grandstand Rentals - SGA Bleacher Rentals
Many of our clients come to us looking for “Grandstands” or “Bleachers”. SGA’s Alto Portable Seating product is a bit different than both. Let us try to illustrate the differences here.
Grandstands:
Dictionary.com defines grandstand as:
- A roofed stand for spectators at a stadium or racetrack.
- The spectators or audience at an event.
An additional definition continues:
n : the part of the seating at a racecourse or stadium consisting of tiers with rows of individual seats that are under a protective roof
We aren’t in the roofing business, mainly due to the temporary (and/or indoor) nature of most of our installations. We DO rent portable seating equipment with individual seats, which in a raised configuration (with the first seat starting above the ground) might be considered a grandstand. We also encourage prospective clients to find tent/roofing companies that may offer a roof to cover our seats, if they are in need of such services.
Bleachers:
Dictionary.com defines bleacher as:
n : an outdoor grandstand without a roof; patrons are exposed to the sun as linens are when they are bleached
So, saying nothing about what we remember about bleachers from being kids (with knotty, warped planks, frozen aluminum at football games, or someone next to you that took more of their fair share), the definition above does qualify for what the Alto portable seating system is designed for, which is an outdoor (or in our case sometimes indoor) grandstand, without the roof.
