Orlando, Florida- October 26, 2011-Leo English has joined SGA Production Services, the leaders in design and execution of scalable event staging, seating and scenic solutions, as General Manager of the Scenic Department. English will oversee all scenic construction and client activity, and will manage and actively participate in Scenic sales throughout the company. With years of industry experience English brings new concepts to standard building practices.English’s professional history represents 33 years as a major contributor with three of the most recognized, award winning and iconic companies in the world – FM Productions, Piper Productions and Sparks. Working in real life situations at all levels of responsibility has provided English with an in-depth understanding of all facets of the industry.English started his career with FM Productions, owned by Bill Graham and later Tom Mendenhall. He learned fabrication from the best and toured as Head/Master Carpenter for the Cars, the Rolling Stones US and European Tattoo You Tour, Billy Joel’s Nylon Curtain Tour, David Bowie Serious Moonlight Tour and Pink Floyd’s Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour. English also worked as Construction Manager for the 1984 Olympics Opening Ceremony in Los Angeles, California. In addition, English has worked with Walt Disney World and Universal Studios on the Pocahontas Live Show, Beauty and the Beast Live Show, Aladdin Restaurant and various other shows, exhibits and theme park events.SGA's Scenic Department was founded 1992 with the mission to provide quality stock and custom scenery to the corporate theater and convention market.
